When I have the time between my day job and managing my personal affairs I like to sit in my craft room and get inspired to create. Last evening was one of those moments. There is really no rhyme or reason to my creations it is just the inspiration of the moment. I created this focal bead a couple of weeks back and I have not been inspired until now.
So I started and this was my idea for this piece. I wanted to incorperate a bead weaving in this piece so I decided to use a netting stitch with Rocailles seed bead colors Fancy Rain Bow Brown and Fancy Sky Blue. This will take some time to finish because it is small detailed work, but I love it. I also love the way this bead weave feels when it is complete. I will keep the post updated as I procede but I am thinking by the end of the week I will be done with at least the necklace. Maybe I will be able to squeeze the earrings in as well.
This is a close up shot of the focal bead. The base is a sandy brown with raku class dots melted down. I then placed clear glass dots and left them raised for the effect of morning dew. This time of year we typically have very heavy fog and dew drops early in the morning and this was my inspiration.
I just wanted to include this last photo to show a close up of the netting stitch.
